Town hall
Since the recovery of democracy in Spain, ten municipal elections have been held, and only two political parties, the PSOE and the PP, have governed the city. From the first municipal elections, held in 1979, until 2011 the PSOE governed the city, while in the ninth legislature the PP governed. After the 2015 elections, the PSOE returned to the government of the city, although it formed a government with Esquerra Unida and Compromís.
